GE Master Plan Phase 1, Schenectady, New York

GE Masterplan Phase 1 is the first phase of implementing the landscape master plan for the southwest area of the historic GE Power campus in Schenectady, NY. The 30 acre design incorporates formal tree bosques and expanded pedestrian access, while taking advantage of existing topography to create mounded parks which will be used for open space by employees and as a solar power generation field. The project also includes the addition of a 1000’ long planted berm leading out of the campus that incorporates a native mix of woodland shrubs, trees, and groundcovers to provide not only aesthetic beauty, but security screening.  Additionally new campus signage was developed using brushed stainless steel and 3Form materials to create a clean contemporary look that enables easy navigation around the entire campus.
