Tyler Horsley

A native of Utah, Tyler Horsley has gardened all his life. Living in New York City for 30 years, he was a member of the Green Guerillas and 6th Street and Avenue B Community Garden in the East Village, where and served as the garden’s vice president and member of its Board of Directors. In the city he gardened on balconies, backyards and rooftops.

Tyler holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia and a Certificate in Horticulture from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. He is a registered architect in the state of New York.

After many years of employment designing of stores and showrooms for the apparel industry, he decided in 2005 to focus on his first love and specialize in garden design. In that year Tyler Horsley Garden Design, LLC was founded in New York City. THGD focused on urban project: roof terraces, row house gardens and seasonal plant installations. In 2017 Tyler moved upstate to Hudson, New York to continue his work on more expansive and earthbound projects. He worked as the Designer at Pondside Nursery in Hudson before joining Wagner Hodgson in 2021.
