Alex McCleary

Alex McCleary joined Wagner Hodgson Landscape Architecture in 2022 after graduating from Arizona State University with his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. As a student, Alex was actively involved in his university’s chapter of ASLA, serving as Vice President and Treasurer, and interned with J2 Design in Phoenix, AZ. While practicing in the desert environment, he conducted thorough research on the environmental impacts of climate change and developed innovative design solutions for the landscape that help to conserve water, mitigate heat, and improve the overall resilience of our environment. His prior experience working for a residential landscape design and build firm in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA provided him with the skills needed to take projects from design through to completion. In addition to his professional career, his interest in photography and videography complements his passion for design by inspiring him to see the world from different perspectives and discover new ways to emphasize the beauty of nature.
