Ridge Road Farm, Cornwall, Vermont

Set atop a ridge, Wagner Hodgson completed a master plan and design work for this family vacation compound in northern Vermont.  The master plan created outdoor spaces for an existing traditional farmhouse, a modern addition and its connection to the 14 acre site of meadow and pond.  Native stone walls stitch the site together, first by defining terraces and continues along the mown path to the pond and pond house.  A bosque of honeylocust trees in a stone dust terrace creates an outdoor dining room complete with a custom long table for the large family meals.  Atop the modern addition, a rooftop terrace sits among sedums, an outdoor kitchen and a fireplace providing quintessential Vermont agrarian views and the Adirondacks.
