Hotel Champlain, Burlington, VT

Hilton recently completed a $9,000,000 renovation of the existing Hilton Hotel on the Burlington Waterfront elevating the property to the Curio Collection and renaming it the Hotel Champlain.  WHLA worked closely with the design team to transform the arrival experience.  Work included the removal of a bulky porte-cochere addition and the restoration of the original cantilevered porte-cochere.  With the removal of the addition there was now room to create an enhanced guest experience out front with fire features, a new terrace and garden area.  Formerly left-over exterior spaces between the hotel and the parking garage were re-invented as break out space for the hotel.
