Madeline Budan

Madeline completed a year-long cooperative internship with WHLA from 2024 to 2025 and is now returning after graduating from Purdue University. During her time at Purdue, she spent multiple years working for the Purdue Arboretum, where she assisted with landscape maintenance and tree plantings on campus. Throughout her work experience, she has developed her skills in the technical design process and understanding of landscape construction practices.

Madeline grew up in an industry town along the Mississippi River in Iowa. She participated in community riverfront clean-up projects and discovered a passion for maintaining landscapes as a testament to their history. In her personal life, she practices many crafts and has experience in woodworking, metal fabrication, and fiber arts.
