Jacob Battista
Jacob grew up in the scenic New England countryside of north-western Connecticut surrounded by woods and wildlife. During his childhood, the outdoors served as both a source of natural education and creative inspiration in which he developed his interests in photography, ecology, horticulture, conservation, and drawing/design. He chose to pursue a career in landscape architecture because it married these seemingly disparate passions in the natural sciences and visual art.
In 2022, Jacob finished his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Purdue University. During his undergraduate degree, he gained a strong education and experience in community-centered design, natural systems, GIS, and design visualization. After graduation, he practiced for several years at a midsized design firm in Austin, TX that focused on corporate campuses, mixed-use development, and urban infill.
After several years of exploring the USA Jacob now happily hangs his hat back in the northeast. Working in and rediscovering the natural environment that first inspired him.
