Emily is completing a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture at Purdue University’s landscape architecture program and is joining WHLA for her fourth-year co-operative internship as a part of her degree.
Her background at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and Purdue’s Department of Biological Sciences lead her to pursue a degree in landscape architecture, where policy and science could coexist as an art form. After visiting Southeast Asia and being inspired by Julia Watson’s “Lo-TEK” design framework, Emily hopes to use her experience from WHLA to pursue a career implementing systems that redefine how built and natural environments interact with one another and, in turn, how we interact with each other.
